Beauticians use fractions, decimals, and percents everyday! When we color hair, we have to use fractional parts of the chemicals. Scissors are measured in fractions....we use different sized scissors for different hair types. We also mix chemicals for acrylic nails and all nail polish is ordered in ounces. We have to give a certain percentage of our earnings to the salon we work for, and we have to figure that percentage. I hope this helps!
