Hello Coralyn,
My mother is a nurse and I got to hear her wonderful stories growing up and see how much she enjoyed nursing. I have always liked helping people so nursing was a great choice for me as a career.

Hello Angie I have a question for you, do you use fractions in your job?

Coralyn,
I use fractions in my job many times a day. When I prescribe medications I have to figure the correct dosage for each patient in relation to their weight and age. To figure correct dosage you have to use fractions, so, for each patient I see that needs medication prescribed I use fractions. Math, specifically fractions are a very inportant part of my job.
