When you work in the automotive business, it is very important to know about percents, decimals, and fractions. Cars are made of fractional parts and the fluids that enter a vehicle are measured with the metric system. As part of figuring my profit I use percentages. For example, if the parts or the paint costs too much, then I do not make much profit. Hopefully this will help you.
